Holiday Dessert: Chocolate Pecan Pie

Hey Dolls. So Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I am super excited to see my family and eat my mom's delicious food :) I wanted to share with you one of my favorite dishes to make and I have made it my own little tradition for about 3 years now. It is a chocolate pecan pie. I got the recipe from The Food Network's The Neelys. Click here to see their recipe! Everything is the same except for the bourbon lol.

Ingredients:
3 eggs
3 tbsp of butter
1 tsp of vanilla extract
2 tbsp of flour
3/4 cup of dark corn syrup
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cup of pecans (I chose halves but you can do whatever you want)
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
9 inch pie crust ( I use frozen one bc its easy)

Step 1: Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees F. Put your butter either in the microwave or in a small saucepan to melt. Grab a bowl and beat your eggs.

Step 2: Then add you brown sugar, pecans, chocolate chips, flour and vanilla extract. Before you measure your dark corn syrup spray the measuring cup or whatever you are using with butter spray. It helps it slide right off. Once you have done that go ahead and pour the syrup into the bowl.

Step 3: Grab your melting butter and add it with the remaining ingredients. Mix the mixture well. Then pour this deliciousness into the pie crust. Make sure the chocolate chips are distributed evenly.

Step 4: Place your pie onto of a sheet tray and bake for about 50-60 minutes. Check on it after 45 minutes.

Step 5: Once its done leave it out to cool off. I personally love my pie cool but if you like it warm that is cool too. You can put it in your fridge and save it until you are ready to serve. Serve with either vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top. Yummy!! I can not wait to eat mine!!!

If you guys try this recipe out or this is part of your holiday tradition take a pic and tag me #alanamariestyle. I would love to see your holiday treats.

Have a great Holiday! Be thankful for all you have and I am very thankful to have all of you that take the time to visit my page and leave me comments <3

Happy Thanksgiving!
