Weekend Recap: Bridal Shower + DIY ideas

What a weekend! My baby sister's bridal shower was on Saturday and I had to get to my hometown and drive through a Winter Storm to get there but all praise and thank you to God that I did (and my fiancé's driving of course). <3

For the past month I have been stressing out trying to get all my DIY decorations and games done before I left. I wanted to share with you guys some of the fun things that I did.

My favorite was the DIY photo booth. It was such a hit and everyone loved it! I used my finance's pink backdrop and ordered on etsy the BRIDE balloons. For props I found a great free template here and used colored cardstock in my printer to create my props.

I used lollipop sticks to glue to the prop and viola you have a cute prop!

I also got this great "Date Jar" from Pinterest and I thought it was so adorable that I had to recreate it.
I found the chalkboard stand in the $1 section of Target. The crate / popsicle sticks and mason jars are all from Walmart.

It is such a fun and cute way your guests can leave a personalized date idea to the soon-to-be Mr & Mrs.

The cookbook was an amazing idea from one of the bridesmaid's mother. It was a hit and such a thoughtful and personalized gift for not only the bride but also the guests!

I couldn't wait to take mine home and re-create some yummy recipes that were included in it!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I toke a little bit of footage and I am looking forward to uploading it on my Youtube channel this week!

Thank you for stopping by!

  1. I just love to attend bridal showers. You shared lovely picture here of your party. I attended my best friend bridal shower at wedding venues Los Angeles last week only. We all friends enjoyed food and drinks so much.
