Weather outside is frightful.....we are a little over 2 weeks away from Christmas and I am so excited to share with you guys my home decor and Christmas party ideas. I recently moved into a smaller apartment and it has been really fun decorating a smaller space. I have learned that wall shelves are my best friend. I enjoy subtle cozy home decor pieces because when you live in a smaller space too much decor can overwhelm your home.
Also this was my first time ever hosting a party in my home and I was more excited that it was a Christmas party! Since it was in the afternoon I wanted to cook finger foods and a holiday themed drink!

I wanted to give my friends a simple gift as a thank you for coming over. I went to Marshall and found biblical mugs to give to each one. I love holiday bark so I made a dried cranberry and chopped pecan bark to put into their gift as well as some makeup. The boxes I found at Marshall and are perfect because it requires no gift wrapping! Who hoo!

Last year was our first year getting a real tree and now I don't want a fake one anymore. I love to look and smell a real tree gives my living room. She is a 6 foot tall Confir tree! I wanted to keep the ornaments subtle and minimal. White is my primary color with hints of red.
For a cozy feel we thought it would be funny to play a fireplace in the background on our tv.
It added a cozy feel to our living room.
For my small group of girlfriends I made pigs in a blanket, buffalo chicken dip and two different styles of gourmet pizza. I made a margherita pizza and spinach and pesto both on naan bread
