Coffee is one of my favorite indulgences. I enjoy exploring coffee shops on the weekend and enjoying a latte (with coconut milk of course) and a bite to eat (hence the avocado theme below). Since moving to Rhode Island I found that Providence has some of the best coffee shops.
I am not a coffee connoisseur by any means but I appreciate the coffee art and experience coffee brings. Anyone else feel like after a delicious warm cup of coffee you can just take on the world!
Below are some of my favorites and please share your thoughts if I missed any!
The Shop: This was one of the first coffee shops that I visited since moving to Rhode Island. It's a small shop but gives me all the warm and cozy vibes with its rustic decor and laid back atmosphere. The menu is small but the multi grain bread with avocado is a must have. Perfect place for an weekend afternoon visit or a morning stop before starting your day.
Seven Stars Bakery: This bakery has three locations on the East side, West side and East Providence. Family owned business with a great staff of friendly baristas that know their coffee. You can find here croissants, scones, sticky buns, danishes and biscotti. Not only do they have yummy pastries but delicious fresh baked breads. You can find it all: focaccia, wheat, sourdough, pumpkin seed bread and more. Don't be shy coming here and definitely don't come on a full tummy!
Sydney Providence: This has to be one of the prettiest looking shops that I have visited. Straight out of a Fixer Upper renovation, this place is decorated in white marble counter tops, white tiles and beautiful rustic furniture. The menu is a bit on the pricier side but offers both breakfast and lunch items. My favorite is the avocado toast (again hence the avocado theme!). They have a full coffee menu from a full espresso menu to flat white latte, chai latte and green tea latte. A little secret: in the summer time their freshly squeezed lemonade with a scoop of matcha is AMAZING!!!!
Pastiche: This place is a true gem in Providence. It offers hands down some of the best desserts I have ever tried. There coconut cake is to die for and I can't visit Pastiche without having a slice! Pastiche makes you feel like your in a small European cafe like Paris or London. Its a small intimate space and can get quite full weekend nights but definitely worth the wait. The best part about this place is its hours. They open until 11:30 pm Fridays and Saturdays which makes for the perfect after dinner spot. I personally love their cappuccinos. Its decadent and rich with flavor with the perfect froth!
