Mixing Old with New

First off I need to count down how many days are left before Christmas..................................4!!!!! I haven't seen my family since Thanksgiving and I am so excited guys to go back home and see them! We leave Friday and it can't come sooner... What are your holiday plans?! Let me know in the comment section.

Anywoo as I look at these blog pics I am remembering how cold this day was. It must have been about 20 degrees and I just remember my hands hurting so much from the cold. This is probably the most challenging and many times frustrating time for blogging. I am learning that I need to be practical and dress according to the weather while also giving you guys fashion inspiration. If there is a time for fashion challenges it is the winter months. Luckily I have Pinterest for help!

Layering is a great way to stay warm and play up your old and new closet pieces. A great staple is a long white boyfriend button up because it looks great under sweaters. You can fold the sleeves like I did or let the sweater hang over your hands for a oversized look. I added the vest for texture and its just a fun piece! I added a delicate necklace for a feminine detail that went along with the soft pink ShopTobi sweater. This sweater is so cozy and its really long so another alternative is to wear it as a sweater dress and pair it with some over the knee boots for a sexier look.
