New Year, New Chapter

Hello guys! We made it another year! 2017 is here and I am breaking up with 2016! LOL I don't do resolutions but I like to look back and reflect on the past year and thank God for my blessings and leave behind bad habits. I have quite a few of them that I don't want to bring into the new year.

One of my personal struggles last year was procrastination. I allow social media, Netflix, staring into space at times to waste time and not allow me to be more productive and follow my goals.

Procrastinating also leads to lack of motivation and laziness because at times I felt un motivated and not creative that I would struggle on creating content. While working a full time job and pursuing my dreams I have to follow a schedule and wasting time is not an option for me. I am competing against girls that are doing this full time so I have to be constantly grinding. So adios Procrastination! Not only are you a pain to spell out (thank you spell check) but you are TOXIC!!!

What are your goals for the new year?! I like goals better than resolutions because they have a more powerful message to our lives. Its an achievement! Don't you love when you finally organize and declutter your closet or a bedroom. I love the feeling of starting a new and regaining ambition and rejuvenation.

You have a plan or goals for 2017!? Then lets make it happen guys! Your the only one standing in your way. Start by making Take some down time and go into a quiet room and write down your goals and steps on how to get there. Now sometimes the steps part requires some research. So put aside an hour or two and do your research. There literally is so much information out there! One thing I always find that when I do my research it sparks an excitement in me to pursue my goals.

One of the most important steps (which is my weakness) is creating a time frame and a realistic one. Grab or buy a planner and come up with a time frame to achieve your goals. Its important to write things down because it reminds you when you have slacked off. You have to own it and don't allow it to get you down or frustrated with yourself. Use it to pick yourself up and go harder for the next month. Take everything with a positive attitude!

Last but not least don't overwork yourself! It might sound like a contradiction but everyone needs a break to unwind and relax your mind and body. So plan certain times of the week to catch up shows, read a book, go out to a movie. It leads to a healthy life because loneliness and working too hard can lead to despair and worse kind of things.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and my rant of achieving your goals and how to be productive in the new year. I will also be trying to do these things myself! Lets lean on each other for support when we feel like falling and lift each other up!
Let start the new year positive, happy and ready to take own our goals!
