One of my biggest fashion challenges is one that I experience every Monday through Friday: What am I going to wear to work? Working in a business casual setting can limit you to wearing fashionable and trendy pieces. Fall has some of my favorite classic staples such as flannels, cozy oversized knit sweaters and rich earth toned trousers. It can be tricky to abide my office rules but still look chic and yourself! I plan on creating more work inspired looks for my 9 to 5 women to hopefully give you some ideas for the dreaded morning outfit decision. A little trick of mine that I am trying to incorporate is to pick out my outfit the night before. It helps avoid frustration and giving up and looking a hot mess.
I have been shopping around to find pieces that I can wear to the office and feel comfortable in and one of my new favorite stores for classic pieces is Banana Republic. I was online shopping when I saw these pants on Olivia Palermo instagram. She is one of my favorite fashionistas. I love her classic feminine style. Luckily the pants were on sale and in my size. I paired them with this beautifully cut one shoulder blouse. I like the slouchy look but you have the option to tuck the shirt in and pair your trousers with a nice belt for a head to toe perfect look.
I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! I am going to try to get one more post up this week before I leave for Fashion Week. This week will be hectic and on top of that I also woke up this Tuesday morning a nervous wreck watching the news of Hurricane Irma hitting Puerto Rico Wednesday. Antero and I have many family members living there and Im praying for everyone in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean islands and Florida.
Lets count our blessings, be kind to one another and help out others when they are in need...
